Several of Garmin’s latest watches offer support for apps, music and other smart features. They can also be personalized by downloading and installing custom watch faces, which completely change the way the main display looks.

Some of the Garmin smartwatches that support custom watch faces include Fenix 6, Forerunner 235, Vivoactive 3, Forerunner 45, Forerunner 245 and Forerunner 945. If you’d like to check whether or not your device is supported you can visit Garmin’s ConnectIQ storefront.

Fenix 3 HR - your favourite watch faces? FACE I’m looking for a new watch face, but I find if I load it up with a data heavy face, I can experience up to 3-5 second delays on button pushes. The face just dominates the computing power/speed of the watch. Garmin Fenix 3 is, as you guessed, the successor to the Fenix 2.Garmin has fixed all of the biggest complaints about that watch, with the biggest being the slow GPS acquisition. My other choice was a Suunto Traverse but now I'm glad I chose the Fenix 3. The screens are easy to customize, and the different watch colors and downloadable faces make it fun to have on your wrist. Not one problems with the software yet! If your on the fence go with the Fenix 3, it's a winner. All is not lost though as a simple reboot of the watch seems to fix the Garmin Fenix 3 battery drain issues. Yep, that techie golden oldie of switching it off and on again seems to do the trick. Just hold down the light button for a few seconds, select ‘Power Off’ and let it shut down, and then hold the light button again to turn it back on. Jul 23, 2021 Fixed an issue where ConnectIQ watch faces would intermittently fail to load from the watch face selection menu. Changes made from version 7.00 to 7.02: Fixed an issue where one couldn't create a course using saved locations on device. Changes made from version 6.83 to 7.00: Version bump to 7.00. Like much of Garmin’s downloadable content, the watch faces are created by third-party developers. You can browse, download and rate them via ConnectIQ. More are added to the store regularly, so it’s always good to check back and see what’s new.

You can also download apps, widgets, and other updates via ConnectIQ depending on the device you own. Almost any of Garmin’s wearables can be enhanced by adding new device apps or custom data fields, which allows the watch to track more than it does natively. Download adobe camera raw presets free. A Garmin Approach golf-themed watch, for example, can be used to track hiking specific stats, or display a star-chart, merely by installing new content.

That being said, one of the best ways to spruce up your watch is to install custom watch faces. You can find new faces that display way more than just the time, like sports stats, calendar details and even custom graphics — there’s a Super Mario themed watch face!

25. Duck Hunt

Remember the classic Nintendo game Duck Hunt? That’s precisely what this watch face is, an animated rendition. When you look at your watch the animation plays, showing an endearing Muttley giggling as ducks fly overhead.

There are no stats displayed, just the time and date so this watch face is best when you don’t care to see your data or metrics.
